Research Data Publication
Considering the use and re-use of research data as a fundamental base for
interdisciplinary communication, cooperation and research, openLandscapes
will provide tools and support for publication of research data. Researchers
are welcome to join the working group to discuss concepts and innovations as
well as implement publishing standards, infrastructures and workflows.
Key issues are:
- DOI implementation,
- data registration,
- data publication,
- bibliographical and core metadata,
- repository development.
The data publishing framework shall assist data providers in archiving and
publishing research data, enhance data accessibility and encourage re-use of
data.
The data publication initiative also intends to increase the reputation of
open data repositories and data publications as invaluable research output
within the scientific community including funding agencies and evaluation
boards.
