The research object of the geo ecology is the geo system or geo ecological system, that to the landscape ecology the landscape ecosystem.

Research objects consist in this respect when the geo system shows an effect structure of topical scale with a typical household  and consists of the (abiotic) geo factors geo relief, soil, water and climate. Thus the geo system shows a stronger simplification of the reality than the geo ecological system, with that biotic factors are co considered.

With that of the landscape ecology the territory concept stands in the centre. It concerns the connection nature - technology - society which is manifested itself in the territorial structure of the earth rooms (e.g., to administrative-political unities) and is attached by the strongly anthropogenic conditioning of the ecological systems special weight.
